Sustainability

Sustainability is particularly important to the viability and future of the business and an ongoing area of research and investment.

Rotational grazing is undertaken on native pastures to link in with seasonal conditions, with containment areas and supplementary feeding used to protect and enhance vulnerable species and maintain ground cover.

Disc drills, fitted with Aricks wheels are used for crop planting to maintain stubbles, and improve soil structure. These are fitted with liquid systems for the application of natural fertlisers, microbes and soil conditioners. This continues to be an area of continued research and development.

Stubbles are managed with grazing and baling, while mulching and incorporation are also an area of continued research and development.

Gypsum and lime are used for improved soil structure and pH.

GPS is used on all machinery creating efficiency in time, compaction, and input application.

Paddocks are fenced to work with soil types and topography to allow improved management of areas.

Our commitment to tree planting and reducing environmental degradation is an ongoing project.
