Covid-19 accredited safety plan

Hermiston AG Enterprises is committed to the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

The COVID – 19 accredited workplace safety plan provides further guidance, including our hygiene and cleaning procedures as well as record keeping details.

GUIDANCE

  • Exclusion of all Staff, Visitors, Contactors who are unwell.
  • Provide staff with information and training on COVID-19 including when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning.
  • Make staff aware of their leave entitlements if they are sick or required to self-isolate.

HYGIENE & CLEANING

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at multiple locations throughout the workplace.
  • Disinfectant and wipes will be provided to clean practical workstations and shared machinery and tools.
  • Disinfectant and Hand sanitizer will be at an appropriate strength for use in accordance with NSW Health parameters.
  • When practical staff are to wear gloves when cleaning and wash hands thoroughly before and after with soap and water.

RECORD KEEPING

  • Name, mobile number, email address will be kept for all staff, visitors and contractors for a period of at least 28 days. These records are only to be used for tracing COVID-19 infections and will be stored confidentially and securely.
  • Employees will be made aware of the COVIDSafe app and the benefits of the app to support contact tracing if necessary.
  • HAE will cooperate with NSW Health if contacted in relation to a positive case of COVID-19 at our workplace and notify SafeWork NSW on 13 10 50.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

  • Staff will be encouraged to work on there own as much as practical and safety dictates.
  • A shift break of 30 minutes after cleaning with disinfectant is recommended if a machine is to be shared between staff.
  • If staff need to travel together in the same vehicle, passengers are encouraged to spread out using front and back seats and use face masks.
  • Air conditioners are to be set on external airflow rather than recirculation.
  • Use of telephones are encouraged for meetings where practical
  • Where reasonably practical, staff must maintain 1.5 meters physical distancing at all times (including meal breaks).
  • Where possible staff should only handle their own tools.
