Cropping is a major part of Hermiston Ag Enterpries with a total arable area of 6100ha.

Production includes rice, aoybeans, wheat, barley, canola, faba beans, oats, corn and pastures for hay and grazing. Seed canola, clover and lucerne have also been produced as relationships with seed companies have evolved.

Agronomists are employed to support management, providing new information, advice and “best practice” in operations.

Disc drill air seeders and a precision disc drill are used for planting all crops.

Lime, gypsum and conventional fertilisers along with liquids and seed dressings are utilised for soil renovation and balanced crop fertility.
